Greenwich Township is one of Gloucester County’s oldest municipalities, first formed in 1695 and formally incorporated in 1798. Gibbstown is the township’s principal census-designated community and mailing place. The township combines established residential neighborhoods, the Broad Street/Harmony Road commercial area, Delaware River industry, schools, parks and one of New Jersey’s best-known early historic structures.
